Give us your feedback on a R Certification to teach & verify skilled R Professionals
John Mertic <jmertic@...>
R-Users and Community! As you may already be aware of, there has been an increase in the demand for R – both from employers looking for skilled R-users and professionals looking to further improve their skills. However, there is still an arguable shortage of skilled R users who possess quality skills in R, and the R community lacks the means for differentiating quality professionals from under-qualified users. To respond to this issue, R Consortium has joined a working group of R-enthusiasts to create an R Certification to allow professionals and students to acquire fundamental skills and knowledge of the language. Creation of this certification also aims to help recruiters identify and assess the skills of potential recruits. More information about this initiative can be found here. We created a quick 5-minute survey about the needs of those who use R and/or work with others using R. Please respond to this survey to help the group in creation of this certification. Thank you, John Mertic Director of Program Management - Linux Foundation ASWF, ODPi, R Consortium, and Open Mainframe Project |
